I wanted to announce a special event this month (May 2024) at the Sankofa Bookstore and cafe in Washington DC on Friday the 24th. Haile Gerima (director of the film Sankofa and owner of the bookstore) along with noted cinematographer and directory Alan Ferguson have invited me to host a music night. I've known them both for about 30 years, in fact Alan introduced me to Haile. I jumped at the chance and intend to give a great show. I'll be joined by my band Edge Theory and performing many of my original pieces. The plan is to have a recurring event where I'll be featuring musicians and other groups in this incredible space.
